Our Story
We named our brand “Aurient” as a fusion of Australia and China, reflecting our mission to bridge these two cultures through travel.
Founded by Hong and Minzhe in Summer 2025, Aurient Travel was born from our passion for sharing meaningful travel experiences. Having lived in Melbourne for over ten years, we bring a unique perspective that connects cultural differences and enhances travel understanding.We’ve explored China extensively, carefully curating the best scenic spots and authentic experiences to craft unforgettable travel packages. From vibrant cities and stunning landscapes to delicious local food, our journeys showcase both the modern and historical sides of China.
Our goal is simple: to help Australians explore China in a rich, immersive way. We believe the most memorable experiences come from tasting local cuisine, visiting hidden gems, and connecting with the people whose daily lives reveal China’s true essence.
Our Team
Hong is the founder and director of Aurient Travel. With over a decade of experience as a tour leader in China since 2008, he has traveled extensively across both domestic and international destinations.
After moving to Melbourne in 2017 to pursue a master’s degree, he worked professionally as a landscape architect. While passionate about designing beautiful public spaces, Hong’s love for travel has remained a constant. Recently, he has been focused on developing Aurient’s pioneering travel products, carefully selecting authentic and captivating experiences to satisfy Australians’ curiosity about China—a country rich in ancient traditions and modern wonders.
Minzhe is the co-founder of Aurient Travel. A lifelong travel enthusiast, he has explored many provinces across China and spent a year on a working holiday in Australia after graduation. During that time, he not only visited major cities like Cairns and Sydney but also undertook an epic road trip from Melbourne across the continent to Western Australia, driving as far north as Exmouth and south to Albany.
After completing his Master’s in IT at the University of Melbourne, Minzhe began his career as a software developer. While technology is his profession, travel remains his passion. “Exploring the world is a dream shared by many,” he says. “After discovering Australia’s beauty, I hope to help others discover the richness of my homeland too.”
